From Cuxhaven to Hamburg:

Experience the Elbe from the Water

Our partner, Rainer Abicht Elbreederei, will take you on the MS Fantasia from the Alte Liebe to the heart of the Port of Hamburg. We think it’s a must-try for anyone who loves the water.

Are you already familiar with the Elbe from the Halunder Jet? Well, here’s a wonderful new addition: Our partner, Rainer Abicht Elbreederei, is offering day trips from Cuxhaven to Hamburg this summer. A whole day on the water, completely relaxed and at a leisurely pace.

The cruise starts at the Alte Liebe pier and heads upstream along the Elbe, passing locks, islands in the Elbe, and the big ships, all the way to the St. Pauli Landungsbrücken. There, you’ll have about two hours to enjoy fish sandwiches, the Elbphilharmonie, and the harbor air before heading back to Cuxhaven.

Highlights of the trip

You’ll pass the entrance to the Kiel Canal, the world’s busiest man-made waterway.

Industry, idyllic scenery and seafaring all along a single route. Not to mention the Oevelgönne Museum Harbour, before the MS Fantasia moors in the heart of the Hanseatic city.

This is where large ships are welcomed and bid farewell with their national anthem. It is a ceremony that is unique in the world.
