In Cuxhaven you will find the "Halunder Jet" at the "Alte Liebe" which is a cozy pier with a viewing platform, cafes and shops. Here you can see large ships from all over the world, which pass by very close. A public address system informs the astonished ship spotters about the size and origin of the passing ships.
Paid parking is available close by the pier, directly behind the dike. Payment is via a coin machine. "Am Seedeich" can also be paid by card.
We recommend accompanying passengers with luggage to get out directly at "Alte Liebe". Please keep in mind that the transfer of your car takes about 20 minutes.
Arrival by public transport
The Cuxhaven train-station can be reached by the hourly "Metronom" from Hamburg or by the Nordseebahn from Bremerhaven (Buxtehude) RB33. From there you can take the bus line 1006 to the stop "Alte Liebe" or the paid service (AST lines 1306, 1308, 1351 or 1354).
Note: We inform about major construction sites, detours, road closures, etc. on this page sporadically. Please inform yourself about possible traffic obstructions before your arrival.
